March 17, 2018 - Roty dinner. Striking how dark this remains. Subtle aromas, generous fruit for the vintage.

December 20, 2017 - Burg bin end dinner. Deplaned earthy, almost Pommern style. Interesting but very rustic mouth feel.

November 18, 2017 - I'm not a big fan of Roty though, admittedly, my experience is limited. But the wines always taste like they have been jacked up a bit; over-ripe and over-oaked for my taste. Black cherry cola notes accompanied by a little note of cigarette and a fairly prominent mineral component come together to form a not-unappealing nose, but this isn't my idea of great Burgundy.

May 31, 2016 - TN: Trump BdB, Chardonnay, Piedmont and Burgundy (The Grill Room at Rosewood DC): Roasted fruit and caramel that I associate with the 95, still very youthful black fruits, coffee, leather and earth. Excellent concentration, nicely layered fruits and long finish. Neither terribly complex nor elegant but showing concentrated opulent sweet fruits.

May 7, 2015 - I liked this a lot. A very hard wine that could have used a decant but it was clean and pure with a long time ahead.
