  February 17, 2022 - The copper sunset in the glass is beautiful. The heavy sediment adds interest. Nose is dry hay, but not attractive. The taste is sharp, tannic, dry, with a lack of structure, flavour and length. Still no better after nearly 18 more months in the cellar.

  February 22, 2021 - Deep copper in the glass. Aromatic with some “dirty” notes of barnyard, wet horse kinda aromas. Some orange rind, floral tea, oxdised apricot. Sharp and all over the place with the acidity and tannis. Short finish. Wouldn’t come back to it again, it needs waaaay more refinement than this.

  September 22, 2020 - I REALLY wanted to like this wine. The standard Amisfield Pinot Gris is an aromatic, rich and generous wine.
  The colour is beautiful - a cloudy unfiltered pink/orange. The nose is inviting - a touch of the advertised dried berries and ginger. The taste to me is a disappointment. For me it is bland and puzzlingly sharp. There was to me so little there that I wonder if I have covid.
  This winemaker is so good that I am keen to try the remaining bottles and to find that I was wrong
