  December 12, 2023 - This was quite nice and a good QPR. Dark garnet. Bit tight on the nose but opened with time in the glass. Dark cherries, some spice, and a bit of tree bark (if that makes sense). Flavors were good but a bit muted at first. I would decant this next time. Better on nite 2. Food pairing nite 1 was char siu pork and garlic rice. Nite 2 was Philly cheesesteaks. Wine was great with both.

  July 4, 2021 - Had this bottle at a dinner with other N Rhone wines. Frankly it didn't hold up-- tasted like fruit water with little complexity. A few days later I drank on its own-- much better. Deep purple hue, blackberry, dry, balanced, spicy. Finish was short-medium. Nothing overly complex. Best with food.

  October 8, 2020 - Deep purple in color. Blackberry, cherry, violets on the nose. There's a nice floral aspect to it. Dry, deep, extracted on the palate. Tannins are robust but not astringent. They are definitely present. Full bodied, alcohol is balanced. Finish is of mid length. Very enjoyable bottle.

  August 10, 2020 - Eye: very deep purple color. Nose: cherries, peppers, very floral. Palate: pleasant fruit with solid structure, spicy notes, full mouth feel and full bodied, medium to long finish. Very nice wine.
