April 8, 2016 - Consumed too early? Probably. Enjoyed anyway? Yes. Would guess this to be better in 2020, but certainly fulfilled the mission now. Great aromatics -- traditional Chambolle + some oak (surprising on the latter, but hey...). Excellent fruit and mostly good balance follow on the palate. Tannins still omnipresent -- throwing off the balance a bit, especially on the finish. A little dryness here and there. Overall, though, solid and pleasing right now, with some slight upside perceived in the 3-5 year timeframe.
