September 16, 2016 - DOA. Long past prime.

December 21, 2015 - Deep purple color with a crimson edge. Old aroma tinged with buttered toast and blueberry. Flavors of black licorice, bourbon, dark chocolate and leather with a bacon finish. An obscene level of sediment left in the glass. Overall a very pleasing wine that was by all reports past its prime.

October 30, 2015 - Deep Crimson blue color, no browning at the edge. Cinnamon stick nose.
Age begins to show with a slight thinness on the tongue. Mild tannins wanly introduce faint flavors of leather, dried cherries and chocolate. With more time open flavors of sour poi emerge with hints of almond cookies an buttered toast. In the end small but meaningful salvation. We have the last of 3 bottles in the cellar and will open it soon before it is lost.

May 27, 2013 - I was amazed at how well this has held up. Lots of fruit, raspberry and cherry, very nice mouthfee. Very smooth tannins but they still have some grip. While you can tell this has age on it, and is probably on the downslope of its life, I would guess that it will drink well for a couple of more years.

March 8, 2012 - Wow was a little afraid this would past its prime. But surprisingly it was very bright, and loads of chocolate and black cherrie. Delicious. I have three left, hope they are all as good.
