January 17, 2024 - An aged Grange des Peres can be an amazing experience, which this was. First, the nose of sweet dark fruit, violets, herbs, etc was amazing. The lushness of the mouthfeel was probably the second best part. Overall, the color was dark but starting to brick a bit at the rim, the fruit was really lush and interesting with almost a blend of cherries, plums, grapes and some spices and herbs like sage. The finish was long. The wine feels at peak but didn’t seem to be nearing any decline.

August 5, 2023 - Haven’t had a GDP for a while. Brought out the 2004 and 2009 today for wine lunch. 2004 was sublime - berries, sage, sandalwood, smoky notes. Resolved and balanced. In a great spot. Improved over the noon with air. Wotd for quite of few of us. Open up

February 18, 2023 - Stellar, fully resolved, wonderful melange of the different components. Great wine with real charm and complexity. Perfect with a dry aged steak. I’d say at peak.

February 5, 2022 - Ganet colour. Looks like 30+ years old wine. Typical crushed berries notes that can be seen from Grange des Peres. After tasting various vintage, consistent note observed. Start to get bored with this.
