April 30, 2022 - Wow this is some pretty amazing stuff here! Brought it to my poker day with my buddies at the Casino and it was the star of the show!! At pnp very inviting dark fruit nose but needed 15-30 min to really open up in the glass. Chocolate blueberry cake with amazing silky tannins just takes over your palate. Strong tobacco notes and some forrest floor. Minerality is spot on and very "Las Piedras" like. Wine just keeps evolving and opening up, again pretty impressive! I am tempted to try my 18 allocation now after tasting this deliciousness!!

July 19, 2019 - Tasting at Alejandro Bulgheroni Estate (St Helena near Meadowood): Soaring notes of blueberries, crushed rock, embers and scorched earth on the nose. Dark purple in the glass, this is full bodied and packed with concentrated black and blue fruit. Shows deep gravely mineral driven character and it needs a little more time to unwind itself fully - a bit of those young chalky elements at present. Nevertheless, this shows excellent potential with rich pure fruit, nice mouthfeel, a firm backbone and long finish. I'd give it a few more years in bottle to really come into its own.
