April 3, 2021 - Fig and Raisin. Slightly oxidized which was nice. Tasty alone, didn’t need food to support it, pretty weak on acid or could’ve easily been a great great bottle .

November 1, 2020 - First sip was "cough syrup!" -- thick, fruity, a little sweet, a little spicy. Day 2 thinned out a little, still syrupy on the palate, and spicy on the back of the tongue and throat. Not unpleasant, but a little too sweet for me.

September 22, 2020 - Like an Alfa Romeo GTV, this new world old world wine is full of plums and boysenberries, maybe even blackberry preserve. there’s also leather on the nose. Incredible QPR

October 22, 2019 - Italian Wine Scholar Class at the Texas Wine School. Deep purple. Overripe black fruit, candied black cherry, vanilla, oak. It smells like one of those bourbon-barrel aged Cabernets. The palate is dry, with some RS. The acidity and tannins are medium. The alcohol is high. A decent, crowd-pleasing value from TJ. Drink now or over the next couple of years. Not intended for aging.
