April 25, 2024 - Right Bank body and depth w/more CA fruit.Very good. Best after 1-2 hours breathing in bottle.
April 7, 2024 - Agree wholeheartedly with Maximum Satisfaction on his note. I may have even said 95+ or 96 and my only disagreement is I think this can certainly last longer. Fresh and vibrant on the palate. Truly amazing and sad that I only have one more bottle of this left.
March 29, 2024 - I mean this was actually really good. It was drank next to an 18 Chateau Pavie and it more than held its ground (and maybe won out). That said it showed more ripeness and less ageablity. Still the tough vintage makes the less flamboyance. Dark plums, chocolate, savory herbs and chalky earth. Structured but softening. Drink now or over the next few years.
January 28, 2024 - Good purity of fruit, quite floral and perfumed on the palate. This is quite elegant, though there is good extraction and intensity. Medium bodied, structured like a Bordeaux. Well made, polished. Red Berry fruits and rose petals define the palate. Medium length, straightforward, still young, will be better in 5 years and will last well over a decade more.
November 24, 2023 - Thanksgiving Palo Alto 2023
September 1, 2023 - Dark berries, plum, licorice, dark chocolate, hints of menthol. Little hot on the ABV but that's Napa. Fantastic structure. Super long finish
August 19, 2023 - Fantastic !
July 7, 2023 - Very good merlot dominant blend. Good length and texture. Full body with very round berry notes.
February 10, 2023 - Definitely Merlot dominated. Inky dark with smoky, cherry aromas. Full bodied and juicy with blackberry liqueur, black cherry, chocolate and espresso. Drinking great with about 30 minutes of air and opens up wonderfully over a couple of hours. I went light on '17 vintage but this one really rocks.
February 9, 2023 - Rich, dark, blackberry fruit with complex flavors of licorice, espresso and dark chocolate. This Merlot dominated blend has silky tannins after an hour decant (and you need a full hour). Pure, full bodied and drinking very well right now…particularly for a wine from the 2017 vintage.
