November 6, 2023 - An exceptional wine. It is good now, but it could probably age five more years easily, maybe longer. Deep flavors, smoky fruit, and the distinctive Montalcino taste. I could have mistaken it for a Brunello, but it is earthier -- more of a country wine. I wish I had more. It fulfills what I love about Rosso di Montalcino (almost more than the more chiseled and carefully crafted Brunello).

April 9, 2023 - Clear ruby with a noticeable browning from stem to rim. Lovely nose of thyme, orange peel, cherries, cedar wood, soy sauce and a slight hint of cola. Strawberries and cherries stand out on the palate, that finishes with a bitter touch. Still sharp acidity, but rather mellow tannin presence, so the overall impression is still one of freshness despite the somewhat developed nose. So much better than a lot of cheaper brunellos.

March 6, 2023 - The last bottle of my case and at just the right time I reckon. Lovely tertiary development with some leather and tobacco. Dusty cherry persists - the fruit wasn’t that prominent even as a young wine but it’s maintained its character. Lithe and light on its feet, it’s still vertical and shows best with food. A great insight to the producer's style and a really good wine in its own right - not just a poor man's Brunello

February 25, 2023 - Good QPR. Rosso punching closer to brunello weight. Some really good glasses from the bottle but the odd average one with bitterness on the end. Hadn’t tried this producer before but will try more.

January 15, 2023 - Best bottle of this yet. Starting to develop some more secondary notes with some cigar box and tobacco to along with the sour cherries and baking spice notes. Plenty of structure to continue holding but in a great spot right now. Fantastic QPR.
