March 28, 2018 - After waiting forever to try this bottle, it was flawed. Perfectly stored since direct purchase, it was flat and had no fruit. Not corked and not offensive, it was undrinkable. Completely bummed.

February 18, 2018 - At a perfect place right now. Beautiful deep dark color, nose with secondary notes and some tertiary, nice oak, good balance, tannins almost totally resolved, long lingering finish. Just delightful.

January 14, 2018 - Brought this wine to Madcap restaurant in San Anselmo. The first impression is the intensity of cassis/red currant flavor and deep ruby color. A standout wine for its smoothness and concentration. Very easy to drink, vibrant, and not at all tired. Very nice finish. It had light to medium sediment. The cork fell apart upon opening. Had been stored on its side in a wine cellar

January 7, 2018 - PNP with a friend last night and wish we would have decanted for an hour or two. Gorgeous raisin color and nose. Tons of leather and tobacco and definitely would have guessed this to be a French wine in a blind tasting. Tannins were barely present/almost gone. That said, this wine really opened up and drank better after we let it breathe for 30-40 min. I think there is a bit of time left for this vintage because the quality is so good but I’m not planning on waiting long for my last two bottles. Really lovely wine, looking forward to the next one.

December 21, 2017 - Nice to see this great vintage of Dominus still going strong with delicious dark berry fruit and lovely hints of eucalyptus and tobacco. Finishes full and complex with excellent richness combined with Bordeaux-like restraint. Decanted for 5 hours prior to consumption which might have been a bit too much.

(Dominus Estate Napanook Vineyard) From magnum - bricking, very dark red violet color; mature, savory, corn beef, beef jus nose; tasty, mature, beef jus, corn beef, olive tapenade palate; medium-plus finish (more advanced than the last bottle I tried)
