    February 5, 2020 - Pnp.. 375.
Improved with air. Just a delicious, long blast of creamy vanilla and Carmel, with some citrus/pineapple notes. A lot going on actually.

Wonderful. Plenty of time left but how can it get better?

December 29, 2019 - From 375ml. I didn't just like this wine, I loved it! This is exceptional and deserving a lofty 96 rating. This is what we live for in the wine world! Boy-o-boy there is a ton of richness in a late-harvest Loire sort of way.

Screw cap. Good light golden color with lots of years to go. Some tartaric crystals in the bottle. Tons of honey, medium-dark sugars, ripe peach, mango, and raisin; all supported by great, well balanced, acidity. Apricot, almond, and coconut too. Candied watermelon on the finish. It makes your mouth water for a v. long time. This wine is lushesly creamy, warmly acidic (yes that can occur), and remarkably balanced. Brilliant!

(Served with a Chocolate Chestnut Cake. Recipe from La Cucina Italiana magazine. The dessert was not overly sweet or chocolatety thus allowing the sweeter wine to shine.)

August 21, 2019 - Floral bouquet and wonderful mouthful of honey, pineapple and apricots. Decent acidity keeps the flavors and sweetness from being cloying. Perfect match with fresh made BlackBerry pie. Comparable to high end Sauterne but much more affordable.

September 22, 2018 - Gosh I really thought this was drinking well! I agree with other notes that there's a strong floral component to the nose, but also bergamot, candied apricot, earthiness, and saffron. The palate is rich, and yes, sweet, but in no way cloying to my palate. I felt it was still fairly lively and refreshing, though it probably doesn't have the crispness of less voluptuous vintages. The finish, by the way, is long and just stunning. Layers of orange zest, honey, and mineral bitterness unfold for well over a minute. This is drinking wonderfully, but certainly has years (decades?) to go.

(Domaine des Baumard Quarts de Chaume) Nice lime, cream and chalk nose; big, tight, lime, lime cream, rich, honeydew melon palate, deep and focused; long finish (the screwcap was disconcerting on such a wonderfully ageworthy wine as this)
