March 9, 2024 - Lively and lovely. More interesting than most blancs de blanc. 12.5%

February 12, 2023 - Sweet cream immediately washes over the nose, followed by a rush of by toasted oak, campfire marshmallows, and some fruit, though somewhat challenging to discern at the moment. Yet another wine that *happens* to be sparkling, and enjoyed thoroughly after a few hours post-uncorking, effectively still at that point. Eventually, and certainly on the aftertaste, lengthy and ripe Meyer lemon and tropical fruit as well. I get passion fruit, Maddy gets pineapple. My last bottle, still quite lively 7.5 years post-harvest; even after brushing my teeth, still a feeling of that energetic acidity on the palate (unclear if literally or just an imprinted memory).

December 26, 2022 - The cork was compromised. Almost fell off after I removed the basket. Zero pop when corked pulled. In spite of that this was drinkable and good just more advanced than I would think it should be. Darker yellow color. Bubbles still present. Much more aged that a 2019 disgorgement should be. Alas, onto the next bottle.....

October 7, 2022 - Lemon/lime. Rich with acid to balance. Wait a while for last one.

    August 3, 2022 - Light gold color.

On the nose ripe lemon, green apple, sea shells, salty sea air. Wonderful minerality.

On the palate ripe green apples and chalk. Strong salinity, followed by Meyer lemon.

Medium alcohol, medium body, high acidity. Great mineral finish.

The acidity frames the wine, providing a freshness which is hard to find in California sparkling wines. Masterful control of ripeness while maintaining freshness. I get the fuss of this wine. Can’t wait to try more!

May 19, 2022 - Previous CT note is spot on. Fantastic bubbles. Not sure it's worth the secondary mkt price, but delicious

February 27, 2022 - Pop and pour. In the glass, small-to-medium bubbles, clear light-medium gold. On the nose, lemons, currants, and a hint of sea spray. On the palate, full bodied and acidic, with bread, green apples, and lemons, wrapping up with a flinty burst on the midpalate and finish, with lingering fruit between sips. Will enjoy seeing where this is headed in a few years.

December 28, 2021 - No formal notes, but it was a great sparkling wine. There’s a TON of acidity and lovely fruit flavors that make me think this will hold up quite well and might actually need a few more years to show its best.
