March 29, 2024 - Mit 6 Jahren Reife deutlich präsenter als noch vor drei Jahren. Betörend fruchtige Nase nach roten Waldbeeren, Pfeffer, Eukalyptus, Minze, schwarzen Oliven, grüner Paprika, feuchter Erde, Eisen und Stall. Am Gaumen saftig, beerig, Sauerkirsche, würzig, fleischig, blumig, mit frischer Säure, schön eingebundenen, seidigen Tanninen und einem würzig salzigen Abgang mit zarten Gerbstoffnoten und enorm langen Nachhall. Noch mehr Zechwein geht vermutlich kaum.

October 1, 2022 - Good red fruit. A little less complex than recent bottles. Nice acidity. A tad clipped on the finish. Good but not as good as it can be.

April 17, 2022 - Similar to last time we tasted it: heady nose of dark fruit, some initial volatile acidity that dissipates quickly, leaving earthy undertones of gorgeous brambly berry fruit and a hint of salinity. I do keep shaking my head about why cru Beaujolais still flies under the radar when there are so many talented vignerons producing fabulous wines.

January 1, 2022 - Heady dark blue/purple fruit, a hint of volatile acidity when first opened, which either faded or didn’t matter a few minutes later as this blossomed with air. Terrific mouthfeel, with an undercurrent of earthiness and maybe salinity?
