November 6, 2022 - Shared with a friend. Both commented on the stunning nose of red fruit backed up with soft yet intense cherry juice and liquorice flavours. Almost a medicinal wintergreen/root beer aroma. Tannins still grab but this disappears quickly. Will save some bottles to see if the tannins soften further.

October 21, 2022 - Bright, lean and high acid wine. Very young and promising. This can be a mid term drinker in warmer vintages but this one is more classic and thus needs time to soften. This is a bit severe right now - firm acids and needs air for sure - but there is a hint of cherry and rose bound with chains that bodes well for the future. I expect this will be much better in 5+ years.

April 22, 2022 - Lip-smackingly delicious Barbaresco. Pale garnet with the very beginnings of an orange rim. In fact dried orange aromas as well - those festive oranges with cloves. Sour cherries, moist pipe tobacco, a touch of Moroccan mint. Tremendous grip on the tannins but not overly astringent. Energetic, full of tension and nerve. Long, deep, captivating.

February 9, 2022 - Light and racy in the glass with great aromatics of cherry kirsch, sour cherry, red berries, orange rind and tobacco. Bright and lively cherry and red berry flavors fill the palate. Grippy tannins and that delightful orange rind on the short but flavorful finish. Consistent with prior note - a terrific value (if you can find it) at your neighborhood warehouse store, and worth full retail if you can't.
