    April 22, 2021 - Decanted two hours. Packs a punch! High acidity, dark fruit, robust tannins, this wine has it all. It’s delicious but a bit too in your face for my taste.

    April 16, 2021 - The value on this wine is what impresses me most! At $22 this is fabulous. It is not as rich and multi-dimensional as Tensley's Colson Canyon, but it is quite good. The grenache leads - it is much lighter than a Tensley syrah, but that's to be expected with this blend of grapes.

    February 12, 2021 - GSM blend from Santa Barbara from a dynamite producer. 85% Grenache, 14% Syrah, 1% Mourvèdre. Deep ruby in the glass with a fluorescent purple rim and thick, droopy tears. Aromas of blackberry, brown butter, cocoa and earth. On the palate, precise black cherry, rich plum, anise and white pepper. Tannins are finely polished and well integrated leading to a long, seamless finish.

    December 7, 2020 - First day - no good. I actually considered the kitchen sink but kept it around and am glad I did. Great drinker on days 2 and 3. Just enough acidity and balance to go with the pork cutlets.

    November 17, 2020 - Deep purple. Angular, concentrated and aromatic offering black fruits, tobacco, dark chocolate, plum and violet. Hot with well defined edges. Need a little bit more hanging time in my opinion but have all the ingredients of an outstanding wine. NI:4, FI:22, FC:9, B:3, L:4

    November 8, 2020 - Red berry, stones, & perfume on the nose. Lighter bodied than expected. Red berries and some of that stony minerality from the nose. Black pepper & a hint of smoke. Good but not close to the past few vintages.

    October 3, 2020 - Going against the grain on this one. Little disappointed with this one given others rating but very reasonably priced. Grenache dominated GSM. Fruit is pretty good but there is a doughy unbaked pastry and raisin undercurrent that pervades. Also low on acidity and tannins which leaves it “flat” tho not fat. About 84-85 at best.

    August 11, 2020 - Nice black fruit mid-palate, no spice, at least moderate acid on the finish, which was mostly gone after 45 minutes of air. Finish was smooth, unlike the 2016 Château Pesquié Ventoux Artemia that we had the week before.

    August 4, 2020 - Grenache/Syrah, bold fruit - Cherry/Blackberry & Plum with Pepper. Well balanced with soft ripe tannins & good acidity. Finishes with peppery notes +dark Cherry and maybe touch of Oak. Great example of a Santa Barbara blend. Paired well with rack of lamb
