September 22, 2021 - Same notes apply. Still wonderful. Outstanding QPR.
September 10, 2021 - Lovely, pleasant surprise! Beautiful nose of apples, pear and lemon. Long delicious finish with baked bread, apples and a touch of cream. Slightly sweet, but in a good way. Would not hesitate to purchase again.
August 11, 2021 - corked.
June 29, 2021 - Wowowowowow. This wine knocked me out. Lovely nose of citrus, wax and stone fruits with a palatte of the same, with a dose of just enough oak, salt, apple, peach, apricot, and pencil shavings. Absolutely loving and unexpected. And at $30, an absolute unabashed win win win. If you come across this, get it!
May 30, 2021 - I thought this was in B.W's wheelhouse. She likes, but does not want to buy again. I know nothing, BrunelloBob.
March 16, 2021 - Real nice honey lemon tartness, but with elegant refinement. Beautiful expression on a young example of Chardonnay. Well done.
March 14, 2021 - Wonderful. Reminds me of an Aubert style without the Aubert price.
February 20, 2021 - Medium acidity (medium+ relative to most California chards) powers a core of intense pineapple, mango, and tropical fruit, with some baked apple and saline notes underlying to add complexity through a long finish. Moderate oak and lactic notes show through some cream and pineapple cake character. Ultimately, the profile is a bit more tropical than I'd prefer, though I wouldn't at all call it unbalanced. Similar character to chardonnays from Gap's Crown and other sites nearby on Sonoma Mountain. A very well-made and high-quality wine. While not a style I enjoy, if you like Aubert and similarly intense California Chardonnay, this represents great value at $27.
October 2, 2020 - A fabulous wine. Luminous on Day 1 - sunshine-y fruit, deft acidity and a ton of joie de vivre. Lost a few miles per hour came off the fastball on the next day, though certainly still a quality drink.
