October 8, 2020 - Quite dark fruited, hint of oak, some eucalypt lift and a hint of nice dry brown grass. Slightly viscous (15.7% abv!) yet still medium bodied, lots of acidity, a little astringency. Reminiscent of mine, but much riper and with more oak. Nice

Dark blood red in colour with maroon and cherry cola hues. Lifted, herbal, herbaceous and floral. The upfront nose displays lifted aromas of ripe black cherry and cassis. This is supported by nuances of violence and lavender. There are also hints of sweet cashew nuts and red capsicum. The palate is ripe, complex, elegant, soft, dry and firm. The upfront palate displays flavours of boysenberry and sarsparella. The mid-palette displays complex layers of spice of green herbs such as basil and sage. The back palate is long, dry and soft with firm and persistent tannins
