July 3, 2022 - Buccan!! 7-3-22. Great bottle’ I liked it more than Laura. Great up front. But Laura says finish is crap.

January 2, 2022 - Bought from the winery on my last wine trip. Was with Kelly and Arvin. Fun times!

Color. Rich opaque red. Very little color fading to the edge.

Nose. Cedar, cassis, currants, blackberries, sweet cream, vanilla, cherries. The bouquet is spot on.

1 hour later the nose reveals violets. Overtly violets. It's amazing

Palate. Medium bodied Cabernet. What I would expect given the age. Cherries and fresh blackberries balanced by cocoa dusted tannins. A touch of earthy flavors as well. Finish lasts 20-25 seconds.

Overall it's a delicious wine that has aged perfectly. I really dig the nose on it. If you don't mind a delicate wine, this one could be aged for another 10 years. The nose should be rewarding at that point.

June 19, 2021 - Sad to see this wine go... and that its not an elegant but structured aged Napa cab...

    Color... pretty garnet.

Nose.... cassis, cedar, cherry, a little alcohol.

Palate... super soft. Finish goes away quickly. Tannins are nearly gone. This wine was better in its youth.

February 28, 2021 - On the downhill slide, I'd say. Very well integrated and smooth tannins, but leaves me wanting more fruit and expression early on. Overall not as delightful as I'd hoped.

January 12, 2021 - Earthy black cherry, dark raspberry, smoke, olive and rosemary aromas evolve to notes of grape-flavored hard candy, licorice, and au jus. This shines at the 2+ hour mark, where a hint of VA gives way to a juicy, structured, and complex palate of blackberries, coffee, and crisp acidity on a full-bodied frame. Absolutely beautiful.
