May 11, 2020 - Pale yellow gold color with a reflective edge. The nose gives off young pineapple, peach and apricots with a hint of citrus. The palate is medium-to-full bodied for a Chardonnay that should give it away to have come from the New World. However, the crisp acidity with green stemmed notes associated with cooler climates puts you off in a clever way. Flavors of green apples, pears, form the luscious core, capped by salty minerals on the long finish puts this wine on a more interesting level than most. Ultimately, the higher than usual alcohol gives it away, but this is easy to admire. Drink now until 2030.
