March 25, 2024 - Just gets better with age, though this bottle was a bit muted on day 1 but shined on day 2. Hold or pop.

December 12, 2023 - Not quite as good as previous bottle. Lots of honey and peach notes, slightly sweet on finish but also a little bitter. A tad dilute. Not as flexible at the table as I had hoped it to be. Would shine with a stinky cheese course though I think.

September 20, 2023 - Second of 2, and similar to my note of just over 2 years ago in both qualities and quality. Perhaps more sweet tropical fruit off the pour with white florals, beeswax, petrol, garden hose and bracing acidity. Golden yellow and unctuous. The elements were quite distinct, if in rough balance off the pour, but became more integrated, if less interesting with air. Good if a bit drab on its own, it is, as predicted in the earlier note, terrific with sushi, as it was with a seafood stir fry. I liked this but didn’t love it, right there if not ever so slightly above the 2x+ more expensive 2008 Trimabach Frederich Emile from the prior weekend, but solidly below the more vibrant 2019 Jean Biecher Sommerberg from last year. All that said, I don’t typically drink much riesling (there was another riesling, off dry, to boot, at last weekend’s dinner), so I struggle to know where these wines are in their life cycle. I can say that, after the integration of the first couple of hours, this held with minimal change over 4 days, so while prospects for improvement seem limited, this would seem likely to have several years of solid drinking at or around this point. A solid, if unexceptional, performance, but a nice choice with some hard to pair foods on my regular list. 90-91 if scoring

August 12, 2023 - A riesling that has it all ( in my opinion)

May 15, 2023 - Wine was singing after a few hours of being opened, great Alsace Riesling for the $$, nose loaded with Petrol notes, lemon zest, tangerine and white flowers.
There is a Lot of Body upon tasting, broad projection that just gets cut down by the lovely Lemon/Mineral streak in the midmouth, great length and finish on this bottle.
Have another and will let it go at least 7/10 years before trying again...good stuff!
