March 24, 2024 - Splash decant. Nice stuff; distinctively Tuscan in style, though I am unsure of the varietal blend here. Followed a couple of Napa reds; will revisit.
Had a glass two days later (VV'd and refrigerated) with beef stew; holds up well. Would likely shine with a more tomato-based entrée.

September 5, 2023 - Consumed over three evening meals; pairs much better with salty pot roast over rice on Days 1 and 2 than with Italian sausage ravioli on Day 3, but quite serviceable all in all. Deep red, unmistakably Tuscan.

September 18, 2021 - Deep, dark reddish-purple garnet, close to opaque in color. Full, forward & attractive nose of fruit aromas of dark cherries, blackberries & currants with earthy/dusty & floral overtones of violets, some spices, dried herbs, cocoa, minerals & cedar notes in the background. Full bodied with very good concentration of well balanced & smooth textured, ripe dark fruit flavors of dark cherries, blackberries & plums with earthy, cocoa, spices, herbs & minerals. Lingering finish. Drinks quite well at present with decanting & extended airing although it should continue to develop with additional aging. An indicative blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot & Sangiovese. Very good QPR when found at discount.

August 30, 2021 - Nose of black cherry and black plum with some cocoa notes. Black cherry with pencil lead embedded within it slashes across the tongue, then adds a touch of bitter herbs and espresso. Medium tannins on the finish with dry blackberry, dried thyme, and oak. Another year might soften it a bit.

May 13, 2021 - I enjoyed this wine as a daily drinker, predictably good, never let me down, charming fruity nose, robust thick body, complex, modern style, dark fruits, some oakyness, dark chocolate finish. A very pleasant wine.
