August 23, 2023 - All the intense Syrah flavors are there, but unlike most of the variety, the flavors here are light on their feet and dancing, instead of being darker, heavier. Fresh violets, blueberry, pastry crust, charred wood, raw game, beef jerky, vanilla, black pepper, black olive, black licorice. Deep ruby color. Intensity: Pronounced. Body: M+. Alcohol: H. Acid: H. Finish: Long. Tannin: M+ barely, polished, slightly pleasantly stemmy, and well-integrated. Complexity: High. Concentration: High.

July 21, 2023 - enchanting aromas that capture savory elements of olive, cured meats and strawberry, full and luscious, cool and complex, delicious and long, umami, layers of flavorful plum, smoked meat, root vegetables, black cherry and smoke, needs air to wind down and obviously more cellar time will carry the elements to a graceful field of joy, but it services the taste buds well while young and shows off the pedigree and potential of the vineyard, a beauty

June 20, 2023 - I'm wondering if there's some bottle variation in this vintage based on the tasting notes. This bottle showed very very well. A few Northern Rhone qualities and that's after we pop and poured. Tenants were fine and gritty, hint of black olive, and a big slick of tar running through the palate. Good

June 1, 2023 - Surprised by the last few tasting notes. Decanted for an hour and it was delicious. You’ve got to like the salty bloody Cayuse style though.

January 27, 2023 - Purchased direct from winery & cellared since. 1st of 6 & won’t open any more for 5+ years. This wine is a dark, brooding, beast. Not a very enjoyable wine right now. Tannic, disjointed, alcoholic with no acidic balance. The nose is somewhat pleasant...dark fruit, floral, incense profile. Disappointing at this point unfortunately.
