February 3, 2024 - I echo GJVines. Decanted briefly and drank over 2 hours. Initially a bit thin in the mid palate but gained heft over the next two hours or so. Medium complexity with intense but integrated flavor with some life left. Wish I had more especially at the $60 I paid. Not sure these are worth it at their current price though.

January 21, 2024 - Good, but a bit thin mid-palate, and day 2 was coming apart. Not even close the 2014 Ridge Estate Cab we had a few weeks ago. If I had any more, I would drink them soon.

December 30, 2023 - deep red color, lovely aroma, dark flavor and texture, very nice. Everything you want in a mountain cab. About 70% less than their top tier Pritchard Hill bottling. Not quite there but pretty darn close for a lot less money. A good compromise.

December 21, 2023 - Quick decant and then served with vacio when guests finished the magnum sooner than expected. Nice wine with good complexity, full body, and fairly long finish. Lots of life left; think this is better with food then on it's own.

October 28, 2023 - Drinking in a large group so the wine was going fast. I gave this an hour slow ox. This had flavors of cassis, blueberry, and a little bit of chocolate and a touch of earth. I find most Pritchard hill wines are blueberry dominant but this wasn't.

This was not as powerful as I remember and the secondary flavors were quite light. I believe I held on to this to long and it is past peak. Also I have found of the drought year wines the 2014's have not held up like the other vintages. I use to buy this wine quite a bit but I found while a good deal based on wine critic scores and vineyard location this had to lay down for a while. My guess is this would have been best 2 years ago. If you have this bottle I would drink it now.

April 22, 2023 - Ripe, tannic, beautifully refined. This is outstanding Napa Cabernet, drinking in early maturity. Plummy notes mingle with Napa currants. Perfectly judged elevage. High class restaurant wine, in that its proportion , intensity, and complexity, but also approachability mark it as a superb food wine, but perhaps not a wine that offers transcendence.

January 22, 2023 - Dinner at Irene's: I'm not a big fan of this producer but this was a stand-up cabernet that went great with beef tenderloin. Not over the top, cassis, fine tannins.

January 21, 2023 - A Mix at Irene's (Irene's House, St. Paul): Very dark red color. Slow - O for a couple hours. Drank a glass over an hour. Classic Cali cab, in a good way; cassis, oak, red cherry, good structure, well done. 91+ to 92)pts.
