May 17, 2023 - Colour - garnet, no bricking. Earthy nose, hint of spice. On the palate, it’s got some zingy acidity, almost a hint of animals (which is not present on the nose at all), you feel more than taste the oak but it lends it great structure. My favourite vintage of this wine I think. Paired well with Dominos and the X files, after what already feels like a long week.

February 4, 2022 - Simply beautiful. Nice complexity, beautiful notes of oak, cedar and coffee. Nicely balanced. Will cellar well for at least another 5 years

November 5, 2021 - Rich dark opaque red, on nose brambly fruit with that rosemary /garrigue? herbal note, resin, clove, cedar; lovely aromas.
On taste, some acidity, and all the flavour indicated on the nose. Some tannin. Good VFM. -

September 12, 2021 - Bold colour. Bouquet of ripe plums and ground coffee. Delightful palate of fresh dark red plum fruit, medium body, nice balance of tannins, oak and acidity. Something unique and especially enjoyable about this wine.

August 29, 2021 - August Bank Holiday Weekend Drinking (At home in leafy West London): Possibly my favourite vintage of this wine. Savoury, a hint of spice, neither plush nor rustic but something perhaps between the two - like someone with surprisingly strong opinions on a topic you didn’t consider controversial but who presents them in a way which is endearing…A somewhat simpler, cleaner version of the pleasure that I used to get from Chateauneuf du Pape before it got so turbocharged and alcoholic.
Paired with five guys and two episodes of the Marvel What If cartoon.
