  December 31, 2020 - This was a difficult wine. It all came down to the temperature of the wine in the glass. Half a degree either side and it was either too tannic or too alcoholic. However, if we got it just right, 18 C, then it was actually beautiful with soft and rich cherry flavours, a hint of oak and good tannins and acidity. The problem is that the temperature of wine changes in the glass so we only had its best manifestation for about 50% of the time! I don’t really want to knock back a quality wine, especially at this price. Would I buy it again? Probably not, it was just too difficult

  January 28, 2020 - Margot's. Uncorked four hours before dinner. A bit more raw and tannic than the 2015 Colledila beside it, but only different in the way a year makes with no obvious flavor differences from the other cru. So: red fruit, raisins, tomato, walnut skins and rare beef. Excellent potential.
