June 15, 2022 - Another beauty from Epocn. A rich lush wine with dark fruit and chocolate notes. Smooth and siky tannins. Beautifully made and deeply interesting.

February 6, 2022 - Wine is in a great place, maturing nicely with tannins fine grained, fruit on the nose and palate. A little heat on the finish. Has some time left but why wait.

September 4, 2021 - A bit clunky. Not a big fan of the blend of grapes (perhaps I'm biased by the label). Very rich and dense; not my preferred style for syrah. Nose of dark berry and tobacco, leather. Nice mouth coating and finish. I wanted a blend like this to be good for gourmet burgers... but would have paired better with steak. Perhaps, a compliment will be "drinks like a california cab"...

July 3, 2020 - Inky, staining purple color, with a vibrant palette of black cherry and dark berry compote. Structured and resolved, with grip, balance, and finesse. Outstanding, mature Syrah blend from a superb producer, drinking in peak form. A genuinely wonderful wine.

June 24, 2020 - So so smooth... decanted at least 1h. No tannins and perfect balance with the right acidity and fruit flavors. Very good!
