August 6, 2021 - The purity one has come to expect from this wine seems to be obscured in this vintage by the prevalence of botrytis - a bit too much in my view. May well develop in interesting ways over time but is less interesting to drink than other vintages of the same wine and the Ongles. Fans of Hirtzberger etc. rejoice - this is your vintage!
