October 9, 2022 - Still had a few years to it, at or near peak. Decanted for an hour. Good, smooth tannins and nice finish

July 15, 2020 - 4th of July BBQ. Wine drank very well with Ribeye and Lamb chops. This could have gone a bit longer in cellar, but it looks like it is coming into its prime drinking window and might actually be there already. Was the WOD against a couple CA Pinot (2005 Goldeneye is one that I remember), a Sauvignon Blanc, and a grocery store cabernet. Not a whole lot of competition but this one went fast and I was glad I brought it and poured myself a good sized glass.

May 9, 2019 - Eh... it's... fine. Structure is still there but fruit seems to be fading a bit, so it's a little rough on the finish.

(Quintessa Red) #4; COLOR-dark; NOSE-a little funky; little garbage; interesting subtle Black Raspberry; little Oak Monster; TASTE-really dark chocolate; really firm, solid tannins; good richness & explosiveness; really well made; great polish; pure fruit; I like this wine; nice balance; reminds me more of Classic Bordeaux than a CA cult wine; nice tanat-like balance on the finish; I like the red fruit on the mid-palate transitioning to black fruit mixed w/ dark chocolate components on the finish; interesting wine; WE-95; GV-92+
