March 10, 2023 - Second bottle after the first was off. As expected it has has a rich/creamy texture back by a healthy amount of sweet vanilla oak. Still it retains nice elegance with ripe raspberry, plum, mineral and dried herb. Silky smooth and polished but needs cellaring.
March 10, 2023 - Corked. Faint at first but got much worse with time.
March 1, 2023 - With Mike Gerardi at Polpo
February 2, 2023 - Agree with other notes regarding closed, high octane, …. Coravin’d a tasting alongside Saffredi 2016 and Sassicaia 2003. This was the least enjoyable on the table. Rambunctious, unweildy, poised to attack. This one needs a major pouring ritual or, even better, let it sleep 5-10 years.
December 14, 2022 - Very ripe and beautiful fruit. Well balanced but certainly rich and a bit much at this early stage. I’ll wait a few years for my next bottle and it wasn’t revealing much but clearly packed with goodness.
November 3, 2022 - Concentrated ripe black fruits with mint chocolate and Asian spices. Wine was powerful and delicious, but still tannic and needed hours of decanting. I would recommend cellaring this bottle for years before drinking.

November 23, 2020 - Rich, pompous and almost a little vulgar aromas, yet so fun with really concentrated fruit of plums, blackberries, blackcurrants, wet ground, fuel, leather, concentrated dried mushrooms, leather and blood. High octane! Rich and really concentrated in the mouthfeel with densely darker raspberry fruit, leather, salt, spices, mushrooms, blood and hefty exotic spices. This is a fruit bomb! But the acidity freshens up just enough, even if the blackcurrant syrup lurks in the back. Great tannin structure with just the right bite. Hefty finish with barrel and chocolate. Tough and wonderful case! 95 points.
