April 28, 2021 - Nice floral steamy nose. It’s lost it fruit on the palate. Some acids on the finish. Past it’s prime.

January 20, 2015 - Dark pinot fruit, smoke and earth on the nose. Medium to medium full body on the palate, with a sense of resolved acidity providing balance. A very slight sense of astringency depending on where it lands on the tongue. No reason I can see to hold any longer. Drink now or within 12 months.

November 28, 2013 - Outshone the 2011 Sojourn Gap Crown next to it. Beautifully balanced, with stony minerality coming through.

November 1, 2013 - This couldn't be more placid and resolved. Drink up before it starts losing ground. Little whole cluster makes the nose interesting, layers of dark fruit. All an all a very nice PN you wouldn't mistake for Burgundy but a Burgundy guy can enjoy this.

June 8, 2013 - Good dark fruits. All the tannins have falling off and there is a very smooth easy finish. I would drink this bottle 12-18 months earlier

    February 20, 2013 - WIML91

Tasted non blind. Opened and glass decanted about 45 minutes before serving. Followed over about 90 minutes.

Garnet to perhaps dark garnet color in the glass, clear looking throughout. Nose of berries, cherries and light floral notes. Flavors of berries, raspberries and cherries. Medium acidity, medium tannin, full bodied. Drink or hold.

November 17, 2012 - To accompany an early Thanksgiving meal. My sister had just had the '07 a few weeks back so wanted to show her this one from a vintage with a bit more verve. Fresh and well balanced. Bit of viney menthol and pleasant tannins rounded out the overall presentation. Definitely an Oregon profile, mid-range red fruits with some black earth and herbs de Provence. Wine improved with a bit of air time, thinking that these will hit prime in another 1-3 years. Given the earthen components, this could do as well as the initial '02 LCV release which I found continuity to gain complexity and nuances as it aged toward the 10 year mark.

August 26, 2012 - Brought to a group dinner, didn't take detailed notes. Decanted 2 hours, recorked, then opened 2 hours later. Nice blend of spice, black cherry with a pretty mouthfeel. Overall really nice balance.

May 19, 2012 - Though the nose was wide open for business, a very expressive medley of both black and red fruits, exotic brown spices, and an trait I am finding more and more to be unique to OR pinot, white pepper. The palate was showing its 05 roots however, and while very tasty, seemed a bit tight and in need of a few more years. Clean, and smooth on the finish.

March 31, 2012 - Big, earthy, slightly funky nose of dark berry, spice and earth. Super smooth and slightly lush on the palate with round edges and a bite of acidity on the finish. Very deep flavors, good complexity, nice balance and a long finish. I think it has peaked, but the drinking window will be open for the next year or two.
