March 20, 2023 - This wine came across as a rather closed effort to me, pretty massive, but not all welcoming. It had some nice openings on dark fruit and mokka, but i sensed this overdone by earthy notes and a somewhat hostile acidity. Would i have this in the cellar, i would probably try to forget this for another 5 years.

March 16, 2023 - Surprisingly expressive, almost bold. Intense red fruit, liquorice, dark chocolate, sous-bois, toast, sweet spices. Can easily go another decade.

June 15, 2017 - UWS (@ JB): In the bouquet some development, rustic flavors, earth and herbs and spices. Same on the palate, chocolate, juicy acidity, dark fruits and some good bitterness.

April 24, 2017 - légérement oxydé au nez, OK en bouche

October 13, 2013 - This was an infanticide. Sometimes you open a young wine and it gives you something, and sometimes it simply shuts you out. This is the latter. Good concentration, inky colour, bold but still fine grained tannins, nice acidic balance, but the flavour profile is singular "tart black cherry", quite concentrated, and not quite enough to make this wine really interesting. Yet. I could see this developing decent tertiary qualities, and it definitely has the stuffing to go some time. Patience is key. This could gain ground.

(Perdrix Vosne-Romanée) Deep colour. Initially diffuse aromatics that hint at a spicy depth, they tighten over about 1 hour to offer-up clean black fruit and some minerality. Mouth filling, concentrated, then bursts across the mid-palate with typical Vosne flavours if far from subtle, but to good effect. The tannins are quite well mannered and the finish lingers with an element of oak flavour - but it's the only woody note. Fresh and tasty, and without overt oak character, but more obviously in need of cellar time than many.
