March 6, 2024 - nourished for about 8 hours - this wine started of a funky, weird and not so enjoyable, but finished strong - a classy Gevrey Chambertin. Soft textured and typical, this was one lovely experience.

October 5, 2019 - This is nicely structured with flavors of rich blue fruits and good intensity and complexity. There are strong Gevrey minerals on the finish and the fruit is very sweet; almost too sweet. The components of this wine are well done but there is something i just don’t love about the way it tastes. Hard to explain really.

May 30, 2018 - Funky nose which didn't burn off after over 3 hours.
Had a strange, chemical-like, unnatural taste.
    Not my style...

October 1, 2017 - Intense nose of earthy black cherries and smoky minerals. Quite taut but also silky and fine with lovely flavors of red/blue fruits and sweet-spiced earth. Plenty of fresh almost spritzy acidity. Finishes with an excellent mineral crunch and a long, blue-spiced complexity. Lighter-bodied and still young but approaching drinkability with a good decant. An ethereal, elegant wine. 91+

December 12, 2014 - Galoots Lunch (Double Zero Napoletano- Sandy Springs): One of my favorite wines from the tasting; lighter color than most Dugat-Py as well as open for this producer especially in 2005, sour dark cherry and raspberry more ethereal than dense, peanut shells, mushroom, wilted violets, faint black pepper; palate showed similar notes in a very focused package though surprisingly light for Dugat-Py; very good.

July 27, 2014 - Decanted thru aerator. Lots of character and dry on the finish, but no sharpness. Good sous bois on the nose and fruit on the palate.

September 16, 2012 - Deep ruby color. Muted nose with hints of blueberries and cherry spice. Needs time to open and then shows lovely flavors of earthy cherry fruit with notes of blueberries and violets. Finishes with a kick of cherry spice. A delicious '05 in the making that needs 5 years or so to develop. 91+

March 16, 2008 - On the nose, big aromas of dark fruit and cocoa. In the mouth, a punch of cherry hits you immediately, with huge presence on the palate. Mouth-coating. Dark fruit, spices. Well-strucured. The finish fades gracefully. Excellent.
