April 7, 2020 - Very tight on first coravin pour. A few weeks later opened the rest of the bottle and it was in a much better spot. The nose is brighter red fruits but the palate follows with a darker profile. Still some tannins on the finish and this can easily go another decade.

May 18, 2018 - Birthday bottle from my wife, as part of our continuing palate education process. Decanted and left for 30 min. Medium ruby with bricking at edges. Not super concentrated. Nose: cherries, leather, cherry Halls, tiny touch of watermelon. Palate: high acid, medium alcohol, true to nose, earthy, very long finish. Not crazy complicated but really nice. Wife *adores* it, I like it a little less.

October 17, 2014 - Outstanding wine, opened up nicely after an hour decant. On the nose nice dark fruit, pepper and oak. On the palette peppery fruit forward, strawberry, wood and nice long finish. First of a lot of my 05 to open so impressed with this one.

March 17, 2014 - I really liked this wine - it drank very well and was easy on the palette and very enjoyable;, others at the dinner table found it a little bland and peppery...so thi was a compromise rating...but now I have it all to myself and am still sipping it and liking it....

December 21, 2011 - Young vines. Clear elegance, but lacks concentration.
