September 24, 2021 - Seems more like Zin than Syrah. Too light, too much fruit for what we want in a Syrah. Started improving a little after a few hours open, so maybe some serious aging will help.

September 19, 2021 - Bacon fat and crushed herbs. Nice density and balance.

August 14, 2021 - Yum. Rich. Heavy. Layers. Can age

July 20, 2021 - Tasted over three days.

Fruitier than North Rhone Syrah...and that is where the dissimilarities end. The blue and purple berry notes aside, the wine features intense savoriness (bacon), on the bouquet and palate, along with peppercorns, herbs, wintergreen, pipe tobacco, (coniferous forest) sous-bois, (sweet) umami, and tar.

Tightly wound on the first day, aromatically charming on the second, and probably the most expansive on the third. Of the recent Bedrock wines tasted, this will likely be the longest lived, and the one that actually begs for time in the cellar.

Food-loving versatility in spades. If drinking now, a 4+ hour decant will do it no harm. 93-94.

June 18, 2021 - Tough as nails right now. I'd hold onto for 5+ years. I think that there is a lot of upside though!
