Community Tasting Notes 15

December 22, 2023 - I believe I saw a recent note suggesting to drink sooner than later, so I opened one, and based on this bottle, I'd totally agree. Not what I was expecting, but I guess Freisa didn't like '18 so much. Good, balanced, easy to enjoy. Drink now. My last two bottles are 1800 miles away, but I'll perform reconnaissance in next months.

December 7, 2023 - Certainly good, but bottles the past two years have lacked the deliciousness of two years ago. This vintage, and probably all are likely best young.

October 14, 2023 - Strawberry jam nose, but quite pretty on the palate. Slightly drying on the back of the palate, which creates a sense of alcoholic warmth. Young but fine, even if I'd personally go with the Burlotto Langhe nebbiolo instead.

July 9, 2023 - Quite tasty, especially with a bit of airtime to give more life to the fine red fruit and even out the backbone of light tannin and acidity. Rich enough on the palate to handle food but fine on its own, and it has a lively grace to it as well. Really enjoyable.

April 27, 2023 - Ruby red, tarry nose, medium-bodied, dark fruits and a slightly puckery finish which, interestingly, is not at all sharp as it evaporates, and it hangs on for a good long while. Another reason to trust the entry leek wines of very good producers.
