August 5, 2021 - Frankly, this was delicious! The wine itself is very pretty, with well-balanced red fruit and tartness, almost a cranberry hint to it. It has a medium-light body with a bright, juicy mouthfeel. It's not "big" like some other BB wines (say, Rattlesnake Rock), but this was amazing on a nice summer evening. I wish I had more than just this one bottle.

Decanted for about 30 minutes (something between regular and splash decanting).

January 6, 2021 - I found this enjoyable. It isn't that complex, but it does remind me of a lot of fun S France wines. Of course, those wines are often a lot cheaper, even imported, but it is still fun to taste a good local version.

May 20, 2020 - I agree with the other reviewer. Primarily tartness with a bit of cranberry, dry finish with lingering strong tannin. Maybe would improve to 90 in 5 years but sadly it will probably be used for cooking short ribs.

March 7, 2020 - I am a huge Big Basin fan, and this wine doesn't really fit the portfolio. Meh. Cariignane makes for an excellent blending grape. Probably best not to leave it at that.
