April 1, 2023 - Brilliant golden straw in color. Really clean on the nose with scents of honeysuckle and vanilla bean.

On the palate, this wine has moderate acidity and medium-plus body. Great concentration with flavors of pineapple, poached apple, canned peach, and lots of spice. Maybe a little heavy on the oak for me, but it's not overbearing.

Overall, this is really well-made chardonnay and drinks above the $19 USD I paid for it.

March 14, 2023 - Really lovely! Spent 9 months in oak casks, resulting in a smooth, soft, and creamy mouthfeel. Notes of lemon, lime and peach on the palate and on the nose. Crisp without being harsh, balanced acidity and so smooth. It is so rare to find a chardonnay of this quality and all the more so at $19 a bottle. Drinks more like a $40 bottle.

September 11, 2022 - Unabashedly American style: oaked; yet the oak is more buttery than, well, oaky. Nicely crafted, it tracks much more closely with its $27 list than the $19 ticket that I paid

August 5, 2022 - A wonderful Chardonnay from Marimar Estate, La Masia 2018. Buttery and slightly oaky, mineral and tropical fruits, perfect with pork tenderloin with sesame seeds, glass noodles, and a soya, mango and avocado vinaigrette. Drink or hold.

April 23, 2022 - A wonderful wine of medium/light straw color, clean and bright without the sharpness of too much acidity but just enough to stay fresh and crisp. Chardonnay has gotten out of fashion for many but when you have a good one light this and absent of all the faults, it is a great wine. The lemon curd and very gentle oak comes together. It is a wine to search to someone who says I don’t like Chardonnay.
