February 1, 2022 - Very well built Pinot here. Incredible structure that tantalizes the palate with very fine tannins and smooth slick acidity.

One of the more dark and brooding offerings from this label. Very
blackberry centric fruit that veers into blackberry pie territory. The new Oak here shows up with a nice array of baking spices and a kiss of vanilla.

This is not a tasting note I use very often because it seems a little obvious and I think for some people it might even sound negative, but I get a really distinct grape note on the nose. Meaning, it smells just like a freshly picked backyard grape right off the vine, like Concord.

All in all a superb wine that delivers everything you could want from the $50 price point. In fact, I think if one was to come back to this wine at age 10 or 12 oh, you might find that it would be worth even more than that. It has the structure to go there.
