April 16, 2024 - Dark ruby color. Deep aromas of dried cherries, prunes, orange zest, tobacco and leather. The bold palate features dried dark cherries, ripe plum, black currant, coffee, mint, baking spices and vanilla. Long and velvety finish. Very concentrated and bold, yet the tannins and texture are quite soft. Fresh acidity and wonderful balance. Full bodied and lush.

December 25, 2023 - Good but not solid; almost seemed to be turning south….hopfully next bottle better

  • Rezy13 Does not like this wine:

December 8, 2023 - $50+ Italian Blind Tasting (Bin 75 Alpharetta, GA): Darker core with thinner orange rim; overripe nose, raisin, volatility, dark fruit, cocoa, mineral, tar, terra cotta, some volcanic influence, bone and ash, not showing much fruit today; oak and ripe dark fruit dominates the palate, Sangiovese; not my style but not performing well today.

October 10, 2022 - dark cherry, leather - classic Brunello. Was really enjoyable. was in a rush to open and pour (gave it 1 hr) - needed 2 hours to get there

January 30, 2022 - Red cherry, plum, licorice, tobacco, tomato leaf, dried leaves, white pepper. Mouth-coating tannins, nice acidity. Very well balanced, IMO, but it is totally closed up still (started opened up a bit on night two). Give it time.
