October 24, 2009 - Not bad. A bit of oak at the mid palate, but fairly well integrated and went really well with a grilled New York steak. I especially liked the fruit at the finish. Others thought this had more complexity than the Novy Rosella's. Could have been a bit drier for me.

July 5, 2009 - At first whiff you think you're holding a fruit bomb in your glass. Comes across something like a raspberry fruit roll up with herbaceous notes and a hint of oak. However this wine glides across the palette with racy, crisp acidity. Cherry fruit is dominant with a lean spicy backbone. The finish is smooth and long with a bit of a medicinal aftertaste that is far from intrusive. Would buy again.

May 19, 2008 - On the nose I found vanilla, chocolate, anise, plums, blackberries and spice. I should really sit around smelling my spice rack as I'm not so great at picking out exactly what spice I find in a wine. I can usually get cloves, cinnamon, and a few others, but the rest I just describe as "spice." In the mouth the wine was full of plums, with fresh blackberries, very dark cherries, and anise rounding out the flavors.

August 7, 2007 - Color: Deep, dark ruby
Nose: Initially lots of oak - caramel & chocolate. Blackberry fruit emerges with some savory notes and hints of licorice and allspice
Full bodied with ripe fruit, yet the tannins are quite gripping and turn a bit bitter in the finish - the wood was not be fully intergrated and it seemed a bit disjointed. There may be nice fruit lurking, but this wine was not coming together for me. I'll hold off on consuming my remaining bottle and see if time helps the integration....that said, i suspect the oak may remain too dominant for my palate.
