July 19, 2019 - Drunk at PIIN Wine Restaurant Hong Kong - Interesting to read other CT reviews of this wine. It certainly performed better than the '05 Drouhin Petit Monts that we served beforehand. Whilst I would agree that it's probably not going to get any better, it is definitely not past its prime. There is fruit, structure and acid and its holding together nicely. Mature Rousseau village shows the pedigree of the wine maker extends right across the range from Grand Cru down.

August 11, 2013 - Disappointing and surprisingly mature. Better drink the sooner than the later...

September 25, 2009 - This bottle is real good. Medium bodied, meaty, red fruit, underbrush, excellent acidity and minerality. Solid wine. Matched great with grilled king salmon. I can't say the same about a bottle I opened a month ago...a bit austere and not near as much fruit and weight as this one.

August 15, 2009 - Light red, nice sappy pinot nose will fairly short somewhat clipped finish. Not especially complex, but still a nice bottle of wine.

    Good.

Burgundy-Report

(Rousseau Armand Gevrey-Chambertin) Medium, medium-pale ruby-red colour. High tones, a distinct raspberry character and a cedar-oak background, quite wide and interesting. The palate is a shade less than medium bodied but has a lovely seam of acidity running through. The tannin has a hint of dryness and grain, but only a hint. A real treat after a few 2003's, and this is less dense than many '03 Bourgognes, but this a lovely lacy wine by comparison with super aromas that are held in the empty glass - I'll buy a couple more.
