December 9, 2019 - My last bottle and the best I have had. Perhaps opened the others too young. PnP. In a really great place. Had along with '04 Ch.Monbousquet and Ch. Leoville Las Cases and this was the undisputed WOTN. Agree with others; reminiscent of Pauillac. Nothing could have gone better with the seared venison and roasted squab stuffed with foie gras.

November 29, 2019 - So well balanced, deep red fruit medium to long palate smooth tannins. Still has time in peak.

November 9, 2019 - Red fruit, leather, cigar box, bit of glycerine. A solid but unspectacular bottle that gave way to a bit of heaviness at the end.

August 4, 2019 - With Tony and Jojo at Birk's Steakhouse. Opened to breathe for 2h before dinner, huge nose, 1' from the glass, red fruit, leather, tobacco. On the palate bright cherry - impressive fruit, given its age - balanced with warm earthy notes and a long finish. Outstanding paired with smoked prime rib.

This was sampled back to back with an '09 ornellaia, which was outstanding as well, but had slightly more shock and awe. But this '04 Tignanello also showed extremely well. I don't believe it is on the decline, yet, all it needs is some time to breathe. 94/95

July 28, 2019 - Marvelous, totally open for business. Pretty inexperienced with aged Supertuscans, so never would have guessed its provenance blind. Would have said Pauillac. This is all mature dark fruit, leather, cigar box. Powerful and layered. Slow ox for an hour, that was plenty. Drank over two hours.
