May 20, 2021 - A bit of heat from the alcohol. Dark ruby. Opens up nicely

March 14, 2021 - Bought one the other day during a local gourmet local grocery chain's wine sale for 8 (WE90, "Save $10"). Natural cork. Medium purple; briary red fruit nose, some oak, that follow on the palate. Tasty, simple Zin that held up well with vacuvin over 24h. Nothing distinctive in a crowded field, not a re-buy. My evaluation (see earlier posts for my non-point rating system): This is notable when considering quality, age, and price.

February 9, 2021 - Medum dark garnet color in glass. No browning evident. Subdued nose. Nice soft fruit on palate with low acidity. Alcohol (14.5%) does not intrude. Lots of weight on palate. Not much ripe fruit or sweetness in finish which I expected. Has sort of a "brooding" feel.

January 15, 2021 - Nose: brush, mint, smells like the oaky forests in Southern California I love!

Palate: mint and dark chocolate coated fruits, woody finish.

Very smooth wine, viscous and well put together.
Almost port-like, which makes sense because their port is one of my favorite wines ever
    I actually really dig this!

February 16, 2020 - kind of a steal, this big wine starts of with scents of mints and strawberries, not elegant by any means, chewy, masculine, gritty, flavors of blueberry, raspberry, pepper and plum sauce, not very sweet, rustic, there is a lot to write about for a wine this price, terrific
