December 6, 2022 - A little disappointing at first, but cold and needed to open up. After a couple of hours of air showed ripe dark fruit and modest but tasty depth and structure. Enjoyable, but I’d decant my next bottle for a few hours. No need to hold though.

October 6, 2022 - Coravin, decanted 30 minutes. Medium ruby, youthful color; aromatic, some spice, red fruit, cherry; palate is medium bodied, violets, slightly floral, deeper fruit like black cherry, refreshing medium-plus acidity, balanced medium (13%) alcohol; medium length finish. Definitely an excellent bourgogne-level wine, showing a bit of rounder mouthfeel but still with exceptionally balanced acidity and alcohol and not at all overly warm. Enjoyable now but will easily evolve for a few years. Not a bad value for burgundy at $40, but also still a bourgogne-level and not 1er cru level. 90+
Decanted 90 min: Similar evaluation, perhaps a touch better knit together.2 people found this helpful Comment -

May 26, 2022 - Mix of dark red and black fruit. Here is salinity and freshness. Well balanced and excellent for the level.
After yesterday’s Gouges Bourgogne 18, which was disappointing, because too hot and without freshness, I was interested to see what Ghislaine did and no surprise here.
Very good and no need to wait any longer.1 person found this helpful Comment -

February 10, 2022 - Right now the nose is obscured by a slug of acetaldehyde diethyl acetal. Some fruit comes out on the palate, but it still feels tucked away. Great structure with good tannic intensity. Wait a few years for the next bottle to see if the nose resolves.
Edit: This kept improving over the days, and was best on the last, showing no signs of oxidation and more fruit over time. So I’m curious what will happen to the acetaldehyde, but I think it will recede over time.1 person found this helpful Comment -
