November 27, 2021 - Needs lots and lots of air. Also seems to drink best a bit warmer than at cellar temperature. 3 hr decant seems to be about right; early on, this seemed very closed. At its peak, showed a lot of tart fruit, tart cherry, tart plum with lots of minerals. Not sure if this was grown on volcanic soil but it gave that sense. Loads of dark minerals, some leather, nutmeg, pepper. Fruit became increasingly warm-bodied and big, yet this always had a definite sense of dryness that at times came off as bitter. Not a lot of new oak presence on this.

September 14, 2021 - From coravin Sept 2021. Wow, fruit explosion, good balance and Complexity. Tannins there in a good balance with the alcohol. Drinking window opens 2022.

March 20, 2021 - Would have never picked this as Italian merlot. Tastes like a right bank of the highest quality.

September 23, 2020 - Beautiful scents of dark berries, lavender, earth and spice on the nose. Full-bodied, yet quite elegant in style and weight. Offers plenty of tart, tangy plum, black cherry and dark currant fruit, matched beautifully to a lively acidity. Displays excellent depth on the mid-palate and a long, tannic finish that features hints of dark chocolate, spice and mineral. So complex, balanced and harmonious, showing just a touch of oak. Still youthfully tight and restrained, this beauty will really be something special once it has had a chance to unwind and put on a little weight. Has the potential to eventually be the best Galatrona ever.
