April 11, 2022 - Day 1:
Decanted for 2 hours. Deep dark purple colour. Graphite/ Pencil lead, hint of thyme and garden herbs. Feels like the fruit notes of blackberry and cassis are sitting in the background.
Day 2: It feels like the extra 24 hours has liberated the fruit in a sense. Blackberry, Cassis, hints of blueberries, chocolate and faint garden herb notes. Not getting the graphite notes of yesterday which interesting. The palate is much more integrated and seamless from start to finish. Finished the bottle.
I would recommend a long decant (6 to 8+ hours) if enjoying soon. Preferred the wine slightly on day 2 due to the more integrated palate. Can’t wait to try again in 3-5 years time. 93+ -

January 16, 2021 - Drank well but certainly some bottle age will help. Recently drank a 2012 & it was bloody beautiful.

September 4, 2020 - It is a solid wine with incredible structure behind it. I just couldn’t find great complexity in it to warrant the Halliday score. But considering the price point, it is an absolute bargain. I personally would recommend 2 hours + of decanting

August 31, 2020 - Sensational wine. Blackcurrant, subtle vanilla, cola/cocoa oak back notes. Silkiest tannins over great length. Goes to the top of my cellar dwellers.
