May 13, 2024 - A rather high alcohol / low complexity wine. Ok for $17 or so, but nothing special. In retrospect, I bought way too many of these.

August 31, 2023 - Fruit is beginning to fade. Fairly simple, but pleasant enough.

July 10, 2023 - Great bottle for the price. Not cellar material; the two years I kept it were just right for it to get where it is going to be.

May 2, 2022 - Great wine for the price. Bright cherry smooth with some acidity. Good finish. Gamay is a versatile wine and this is a pretty good one.

January 29, 2022 - Nice, subtle violet floral note on the finish. And I like the name.

May 30, 2021 - Cherries and pomegranates on the nose. Doesn’t have the depth of some of the other Fleuries that I’ve had recently so that suggests this is better for shorter term drinking, which it is awesome for. Bit of strawberries in finish. Good demonstration of why cru Beaujolais is such a good value— it’s only a few dollars more than the nouveau (ugh).

February 23, 2021 - Smells really great. Raspberry flush fruit to it. Right amount of spice. Nice and taught and spice to it. Fresh and very vibrant.

December 19, 2020 - Medium ruby. Medium intensity aromas of strawberries, red cherries, currants. On the palate the wine is dry with medium + acidity, medium (-) tannins, medium alcohol, and medium body. Flavor intensity is medium + with red fruits. The finish is medium with cherries. The wine is good demonstrating balance and intensity, but lacking on complexity and finish. Light, good everynight wine.

January 22, 2020 - Vin Chicago Pickup Party & Tasting (Seven Bridges Golf Club): Retailer tasting. Quite nice. Cherry and spice elements abound. Good supporting acidity and balance through the finish. $16.99.
