March 26, 2024 - Upon opening, there is a lot of black and red fruits on the nose, a hint of dust and earthy. Acidity is high, but relatively balanced. 14% alc. Slight savory on the palate. Compare to d’issan, Malescot, brane Cantenac, not good value.

March 24, 2024 - Half-bottle. 14% ABV. Decanted for three hours. Dark ruby colour, some sediment. Violets, ripe dark and red fruit, black currant, blackberry , dark plum, cherry, wood, espresso, cocoa, tobacco, graphite, spices, coconut, and vanilla, with medium-low acidity, ripe, round tannin, and very good length. Full-bodied and creamy, with good concentration. Ripe, plush, and broad. Modern and accessible, more Napa than Margaux, yet balanced in the context of its ripe and full style. Drink or hold.

March 22, 2024 - Jawdroppingly beautiful in color, a wine-dark sea if ever there was one. Fruit-forward, leading with cherry followed by vanilla... honestly this still seems way too damn young. Some classic Margaux violet, a bit of tobacco leaf, tannins on the softer side. There's hella concentration, but this is just too brash for me. I trusted a highly-regarded wine bar with their decision to start serving this already, but for now, it wasn't quite for me. Perhaps in a few years it will be a wonder, and perhaps if you like wines this big and this concentrated more than me, you'll love it. Even though this wasn't my favorite, I'm giving serious bonus points for craftsmanship.

March 17, 2024 - Wow. Complexity, purity and lenght. I really appreciate the vanilla subtil nose and taste that make it velvety without becoming candy ish

March 10, 2024 - Vivid notes of violets, creamy cassis and graphite are joined by blonde tobacco and a touch of barrel spice. The creamy mouthfeel is supported by polished tannins and bags of sweet red fruit and black pastille. A lick of spice on the slightly limited finish. With venison haunch, baby carrots and stuffed portobello mushroom.
