January 31, 2020 - Very big, aromatic, roasted coffee on the nose, with bitter chocolate. Bourbon barrel in background. Complex, full, spicy & perfumed.
Coffee & semi-sweet chocolate power the palate, with Bourbon barrel also bringing up the rear as in the nose, but in a subtler way, & more subtle than KBS. Thick, roasted, creamy dark malts in between. A little spicy, herbal & drier tasting than KBS. Great palate feel; huge, round, nicely bitter. Impressive; a slightly tamer, more complex, expressive, subtle monster vs regular KBS. Prefer slightly.
